Some points to consider when choosing

  • Is it a burial or cremation.
  • Crematoriums will not allow metal caskets or coffins or caskets containing metal except the bare minimum used for fixings.
  • If a burial, does the cemetery except metal caskets. Some cemeteries no longer except them as they are not considered environmentally friendly.
  • What size will the cemetery except for the chosen plot.
  • Are you considering exhuming the body in the future.
